   ASCII to Multimate Conversion Utility
 
     This is a very simple utility that converts ascii text files
to Multimate document format. It takes about 1 second per 1.4K of
text, which is must faster than the utilities which come with
Multimate. It uses globals, but does a very simple conversion.
It is useful for large scale conversion projects where the files
will be cleaned up after the conversion.
     The format of the command is:
          ASC2MM filespec
where filespec is the name of the ascii file(s) to be converted.
The program allows you up to 64 characters including disk and
directory information. Be careful not to specify *.* as the
program will try to convert some of the documents it just created.
     Asc2mm puts the converted files with an extension of .DOC
on the same disk and directory as the documents it is converting.
(I told you that it was simple.)
     There may be problems with documents greater in size than 65k.
This problem may be addressed with a future release.
     Feel free to copy this program and use it as long as it is
not altered in any way. I cannot be responsible for the use or
misuse of this program. I do not guarantee that it works beyond
the fact that I have converted several dozen documents using this
program.
